Wade Development is an industrial, commercial, and residential master plan developer with over 10,000 acres under development in Western Nevada alone. In addition to
Joe Wade is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Wade Development Company. Before co-founding Wade Development Company, Mr. Wade had a long and successful career as a real estate and land use attorney throughout California, beginning at Gibson Dunn & Crutcher in Los Angeles, later advancing as a managing partner at Allen Matkins in Newport Beach and then as a senior partner at Trainor, Robertson, Smits & Wade in Sacramento. His extensive experience as a real estate attorney, spanning over twenty years and specializing in real estate development, finance and land use matters representing major developers of virtually every type, uniquely qualifies him for the land development business.
Mr. Wade primarily handles the development, financing and legal aspects of Wade Development's operations, including securing entitlements, building major infrastructure, negotiating and implementing purchase and sales contracts, and securing water rights for our large-scale master plan projects, among numerous other executive activities. Mr. Wade completed both his undergraduate studies in business and accounting and earned his J.D. at the University of Houston.
Patricia M. Wade is the President of Wade Development Company. Ms. Wade brings to Wade Development extensive experience in sales, marketing, advertising, contract negotiations, corporate joint ventures, manufacturing, operations and management. Before co-founding Wade Development Company, Ms. Wade enjoyed a very successful career in medical sales and marketing, serving as Director of Sales, Marketing and National Accounts, first for American Hospital Supply Corporation and later for Baxter Travenol, which was then the largest manufacturer of medical products in the world. In addition to managing Wade Development Company's overall operations, Ms. Wade is primarily responsible for all political and public relations as well as overseeing all sales and marketing activities and contract negotiations. Ms. Wade currently serves on several key boards in Northern Nevada including: University of Nevada Foundation Board, University of Nevada Reno (UNR) College of Business Administration, Truckee Meadows Community College Foundation Executive Board of Trustees, United Way Executive Board, Economic Development Authority of Northern Nevada Board of Trustees, Reno/Tahoe International Airport Executive Task Force and has been recently asked to serve on U.S. Senator John Ensign's Finance Committee. She has also recently served as a Board Member on the Nevada Works Council, which specializes in local work-force development and other critical education issues, a Board Member of the Nevada Business Journal, on several high-tech and business-related task forces for UNR, and as co-Chairman for the first Nevada Governor's Conference on Economic Development.
Ms. Wade donates substantial time speaking before a wide variety of professional associations every year including academic organizations, engineers, appraisers, real estate brokers and several other economic development, business and political organizations throughout the state. She also enjoys mentoring local business students and budding entrepreneurs at UNR as well as fundraising and friend-raising for several charitable and political organizations both locally and nationally. Ms. Wade completed her undergraduate studies in Physical Sciences with an emphasis in Biochemistry from University of California, Davis and did her graduate studies in Business Administration through a cooperative executive program between American Hospital Supply Corporation and Pepperdine University.
As Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Wade Development Company, Stan Thomas has extensive experience with business development in Nevada. Thomas is responsible for all sales and marketing activities as well as contract negotiations for Wade Development Company. Previously, Thomas spent 11 successful years with Sierra Pacific Power Company as Director of Economic Development, helping over 200 companies locate to Nevada. As he coordinated the business development, implementation, and supervision of statewide growth strategies, Thomas also oversaw economic development programs. Prior to his time with Sierra Pacific Power, Thomas was Manager of Business Development for United Parcel Service. Constantly involved with Nevada's business environment, he has served and chaired on many boards including the state's Workforce Investment Board where he was Chair of Finance Committee. Thomas graduated from Southern California College in Costa Mesa and holds a B.S. in Business Administration.
